Upcoming Football Fixtures for India in 2023

• Indian Super League: 

The 2022-23 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) is currently underway, with Mumbai City FC, Hyderabad FC, and ATK Mohun Bagan currently leading the competition. The 9th edition of ISL is set to finish in March, with the 10th edition expected to commence in October or November.

• I-League:

 The 2022-23 season of the I-League is also currently in progress, with Sreenidi Deccan, RG Punjab, and Real Kashmir challenging defending champions Gokulam Kerala for the title. The 16th edition of I-League is expected to finish in March, with the 17th edition set to begin in October or November.

• Indian Super Cup:

 The Indian Super Cup, a competition featuring teams from both the ISL and I-League, is set to make a comeback after a four-year absence. The tournament is scheduled to begin in the first week of April, following the completion of the ongoing ISL and I-League seasons.

• Indian Women's League: 

The Indian Women's League, the premier domestic club competition for women's football in India, returned earlier this year after a one-season hiatus. It is expected that the tournament will take place again in the upcoming year, with a tentative date of April-May if AIFF follows the same schedule as last year.

• AFC Cup 2022-23: 

The AFC Cup 2022-23 will begin its preliminary rounds in the first week of August, with two Indian teams participating. This will mark the first time that the AFC Cup follows an autumn-spring schedule.

• AFC Asian Champions League 2022-23:

 The AFC Asian Champions League (ACL) 2022-23 will also adopt a new schedule, starting in the second week of August. One Indian club will participate in the premier Asian club competition.

• SAFF Championship 2023: 

The 14th edition of the SAFF Championship is expected to take place in September 2023, with the host country yet to be determined.

• AFC Asian Cup 2023: 

India have qualified for consecutive AFC Asian Cup tournaments, with the tournament originally scheduled to take place in China in June-July 2023. However, China withdrew their hosting rights and Qatar was chosen as the new host. Due to high summer temperatures in the Gulf region, the AFC Asian Cup is now expected to take place in early 2024.

• FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027 Joint Qualifiers: 

The FIFA World Cup 2026, set to take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, will feature 48 teams for the first time. The AFC.
